The card from the Orme School, where I’ve taught creative writing during Fine Arts Week, for more than 45 years, has a verse by the former headmaster, Charlie Orme Jr. I share this to slow down the pace of leaping from one thing to another, and focus on the blessings, large and small, of daily living

“We sense our time slips quickly by,
But few of us work at slowing its pace,
T’is an art to halt in the daily march
And appreciate the moment’s grace.”
Charles H. Orme Jr.  (R.I.P.)
