But Yes, White

Journal notes, Jan. 13, 2015

There is something to be said for this frozen snow that
makes you understand and know that
you are not in control;

There is something to be said for this milky morning mist that
light from passing cars shimmers schist and
glows on this frozen snow;

There is something to be said for the white snow capping the bird feeder,
shrouding the cars in white polar bear coats;

There is something to be said for this whole world of white
and I am glad snow is not red, but yes, white.
