This morning I pasted to the top of my Lenten Journal page
a word I clipped from a magazine:
Seeking what? More money? More love? More harmony?

Don’t need more money, really.
Would just buy more pasta, grapevines, and give some away.
More love? Well, if I keep it I’ll just have to pay more “interest.”
So, what I receive, I give away.
More harmony? Yes, but you can’t struggle for that,
just defeats the purpose.

So if you take an “e” and a “t” our of heart,
and the “e” out of money and put what’s left together
you end up with “harmony.”
I’ll buy that, stop worrying about more heart-love and more money
and you will have harmony.
