Earth’s Healing

Snapping off from the maple tree
Thousands, departing, forever,
Swirling, to decay in the ground.
Not a single cry.
Not a single tear.

Rake them up! Now!

No! I will lie down on them
and feel them kissing my back.
Oh! This earthy healing.
Not a single cry.
Not a single tear.

Look up! Now!

The gusting blustery wind —
Thousands twisting free,
Twirling down onto my face.
Oh! These kisses.
These kisses. Kisses.

Alleluia, alleluia.
