Spark — Power Prompt

After eating half of a grapefruit
I opened this week’s New Yorker,
the back cover that is,
to start my day with the humor of the cartoons,
and the inside of the back cover shows
a glaring bright white-hot car headlight
and the words

What more can I say?
I’ve torn off the back cover
and am putting it in my 3-ring binder
of writing Power Prompts.

Spark Something.

And as I open my journal, I will start
my writing with, SPARK SOMETHING.

You too. 🙂
